The Importance of Product Design Capability
The capability for product design is a critical factor determining a company’s success. Exceptional design not only enhances the appearance and quality of products internally but also contributes to cost reduction. Externally, a strong design capability enables a company to develop innovative products that meet market demands, enhance sustainability, gain a competitive edge, and improve customer satisfaction. In other words, product design capability not only optimizes products but also drives overall company development and success.
To better illustrate our design capability, here is a specific design example.
Design Example：CJ-D051A Leather Phone Stand
We aimed to introduce a phone stand that combines the textures of leather and metal.
After brainstorming various forms and conducting preliminary tests and screening, we decided to explore a two-piece and self-assembly approach. To minimize costs, both parts were designed to have a similar appearance.

We conducted practical tests on various interlocking structures to assess feasibility.

We finalized a dovetail design that balances strength, a clean appearance, and ease of operation.

Cleverly utilizing the soft and deformable nature of leather to connect two metal pieces, a slight offset during use allows for easy engagement with the dovetail. A snap button is used as the front guard for securing the phone, making the most of each structural element.
However, in the prototype, we discovered that the leather cut at the curvature transition caused the surface to lift, resulting in uneven and unattractive aesthetics.

Therefore, we made specific adjustments to address this issue, ultimately finding a detailed design that allows the leather to naturally adhere.
Conclusion
Each product we design undergoes extensive discussion in the conceptual phase, and continuous optimization during the production process aims to meet customer needs with a dedicated and professional attitude. Taking the example of the leather phone stand keychain presented in this article, we showcase exceptional design capability. Through meticulous design, attention to detail, and effort to refine the product, we successfully created a novel form of phone stand, receiving positive feedback and ratings from customers.
